Bubba Watson Is Now Part Owner Of A Double-A Baseball Team

Bubba Watson owns a hovercraft golf cart, a General Lee, and a bulletproof truck, among other things. Now, he owns a baseball team. Well, part of one.

Watson sent out a tweet and photo sharing the big news that he’s a part owner of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

It’s official…part owner of Blue Wahoos. Love my hometown #goWahoos

The Blue Wahoos play their home games just 20 miles from Watson’s hometown of Bagdad, Fla., an area he still visits frequently.

“Ever since I went to my first Blue Wahoos game I have been a big fan of the team,” Watson said. “I love the atmosphere, it’s such a great place to go with friends and family.”

The financial details were not disclosed, but Watson will seemingly be a big part of the team’s merchandise and branding.

According to a release on the team’s website, Watson will get a grilled cheese named after him. Seriously.

The Bubba Dub Grilled Cheese is a “double decker grilled cheese sandwich with crispy hash browns inside,” or better known as delicious.

But that’s not all. The Blue Wahoos will also rename the restaurant and bar area behind home plate “Bubba’s Sand Trap.”

While at the stadium for the big announcement, Watson also took some cuts with a sweet pink bat.
