Back9Network Executive Producer and Emmy® Award-winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad will host more than 700 guests at Time Warner Cable® Arena on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, for the seventh annual “My Hero Gala” black tie fundraiser to honor heroes in the Charlotte community and support the Novant Health Community Care Cruiser and the Charlotte Hornets Foundation.
What should prove to be an unforgettable evening, the “My Hero Gala” features the entire Hornets team and coaching staff donning tuxedos and basketball shoes. This red-carpet event includes a cocktail reception, dinner, a variety of entertainment and opportunities for guests to participate in a silent auction, raffle and sneaker contest.

Proceeds from the “My Hero Gala” benefit two important organizations: the Novant Health Community Care Cruiser, a 40-foot mobile clinic providing immunizations, chronic disease care, sports physicals and preventative care to uninsured and underinsured children (0-18) in the Charlottte area, and the Charlotte Hornets Foundation, inspiring a philanthropic culture and strengthening the Charlotte region through intentional partnerships, charitable giving and social projects in the areas of education, wellness, hunger, military and nonprofit partnerships.
