Thomas can flat-out bomb the ball. If it wasn’t for Rory McIlroy, he may be the pound-for-pound longest player on the PGA Tour, so it’s no surprise that the 23 year old drove it well en route to his second PGA Tour victory. Instead, a hot week with a relatively new putter put him over the edge. Thomas made 29 birdies to lead the field and was fourth in putts per green in regulation at 1.625, earning his flatstick MVC honors.
