Besting Rory McIlroy by five shots, DJ joined Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper, Gene Littler, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller and Phil Mickelson as the only men to have won 2o times on the PGA Tour by the age of 35 since 1960.

Typically, a PGA Tour winner can point to one or maybe two aspects of their game that led them to victory, but Dustin Johnson was on a whole other level in Mexico. DJ led the field in putting — picking up nearly 8.5 strokes on the field average — as well as finishing second in strokes gained: approach to the green, where he picked up just shy of eight more strokes on the field average.
He also finished seventh in the field in strokes gained: off the tee, grabbing 5.322 strokes on the field average for a grand total of 20.432 strokes gained overall. A truly elite performance.
