Si Woo Kim Shushes U.S. Crowd After Made Putt

Even though the fate of the Presidents Cup had all but been decided before Sunday’s singles matches, players from both the United States and International sides were not going to get walked over in their one-on-one matchups at Liberty National.

The International Team trailed 14.5 to 3.5 following the team competition and needed a miracle to come from behind and win the Presidents Cup for only the second time. Although the odds were stacked decidedly against them, each did their best to get their team one point closer to that miracle finish, including Si Woo Kim who was playing against Daniel Berger and found himself down two through 10 holes.

Kevin Casey from Golfweek.com explains what happened on the par-4 11th

The Patrick Reed “Shhh!” from the 2014 Ryder Cup has already gotten plenty of mileage. Thomas Pieters even used it at the following Ryder Cup.

But Si Woo Kim trying that out?? No way from the quiet young Korean.

Welp, we now live in an alternate reality.

Kim was 2 down in his Sunday singles match at the Presidents Cup when opponent Daniel Berger chipped in for birdie at Liberty National’s par-4 11th. Unbothered, Kim simply drained his 7-footer for birdie to halve the hole.

And he punctuated with … yes, the Patrick Reed shush!!!

Kim would go on to fall to Berger in what turned out to be the Cup-deciding match, 2 & 1.
