Shirtless Pro Holes Out Unbelievable Shot From Water

PGA Tour pros will often remark at the talent level in the lower tiers of the game are right in line with what most golf fans watch on a weekly basis on network television.

While that statement is proven true on a weekly basis on the Web.com Tour, the PGA Tour’s minor leagues, fans were reminded of the skill these players possess on Sunday at the Savannah Golf Championship by Oklahoma State alum Kevin Dougherty.

The 27-year-old got off to a rough start on Sunday at Deer Creek Golf Club. Entering the day five shots back of the 54-hole co-leaders, Dougherty played his first four holes in 4-over par, but a career highlight came on the fifth hole when his drive at the 320-yard the par-4 came up just short of the green and found the water.

Likely having a bit of “why not?” attitude at that point, Dougherty took off his shirt and waded into the edge of the water to play an explosion shot.

Naturally, he holed it in one of the most incredible shots you’ll ever see.

The eagle two got Dougherty back to 2-over par on the day, where he would remain for the round to finish at T37.

Dan McCarthy took home the trophy, firing a 3-under par 69 on Sunday to edge Scottie Scheffler by a shot.
