Phil, Rickie, Jordan Playing Ahead of Masters



The first major championship of the PGA Tour season is only days away and some of the favorites at Augusta are getting their games primed for the Masters this week at the Shell Houston Open. You can catch early-round coverage on Thursday and Friday exclusively on PGA TOUR LIVE before the televised coverage begins on Golf Channel at 4 p.m.

Four of the top-10 in the world will be in Texas this week, headed up by No. 5 Henrik Stenson, No. 6 Jordan Spieth, No. 7 Adam Scott and No. 9 Rickie Fowler. Every one of those top-10 players, along with the likes of Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose, Patrick Reed and Jon Rahm are featured this week on PGA TOUR LIVE.

Defending champion Jim Herman and other PGA Tour winners Daniel Berger, Jimmy Walker and J.B. Holmes will also be featured.

The first two days of the Shell Houston will be live streamed on PGA TOUR LIVE beginning at 8:30 a.m. EST, giving subscribers just shy of 11 hours of live golf that otherwise would go unseen. Through the Tour’s partnership with Twitter, the first hour-plus of the PGA TOUR LIVE broadcast can be seen for free.

PGATL will move to Featured Hole coverage at 4:00PM/ET on Thursday and Friday. Featured Hole Coverage consists of the 14th (Par-3) and 16th (Par-3).

Last year’s Shell title was taken home by Jim Herman, a journeyman from Cincinnati. Herman had to hold off a stout leaderboard that saw Henrik Stenson, Dustin Johnson, Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Daniel Berger, Charles Howell III, Patrick Reed and Rickie Fowler all post top-10 finishes.
