Poulter Makes An Eight, Lashes Out At Cameraman

We know that golf is hard, but that’s part of the game’s charm. Sometimes, however, the frustrations of the game can outweigh its charm, and at that point, players do out-of-character things: kick a cart, break a club, lash out irrationally at a cameraman.

Ian Poulter had some short-game problems on the par-4 15th hole. Short-siding his approach in the right rough, Poulter chunked a flop shot into the greenside bunker, and then needed three shots to escape his sandy predicament. An impressive up-and-down later — considering that his kettle was whistling — and Poulter made a line for a SkySports cameraman who happened to be in Poulter’s line of sight.

You can bet that cameraman made sure he was in position well before Poulter was ready to pull the trigger over the last three holes.
