Justin Thomas may be — pound for pound — the longest driver on the planet. Listed at 5’10” and 145 pounds, Thomas’ 2017 PGA Tour average was 309.7 yards per drive, which put him in 8th place.
That’s a long way of saying JT can bomb it and he proved it again on Saturday at the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges where, with a little luck, he smoked a drive on the 598-yard par-5 12th hole 461 yards.
The 12th is 598 on the card. JT’s drive cut the corner, hit the path, came into the center of the fairway, and he’s got 137 in. 460+!

Thomas would make an easy birdie on the par-5, leading to a back nine 34 that allowed him to take a share of the 54-hole lead with Scott Brown. Blustery conditions have halted the scoring that saw Thomas post a 9-under par 63 in the first round and they are expected to continue into Sunday on Jeju Island.
Here are the complete third round highlights from the inaugural CJ Cup.
