While the majority of the United States goes into weather-dictated golf hibernation, many Tour pros are ramping up their offseason work in more temperate climates in the south.
The unofficial hub of professional golf — Jupiter, Fla. — is no exception, as Justin Thomas and his friends proved earlier this week. With University of North Alabama head golf coach Cullen Carstens in town, JT and the boys played Medalist Golf Club, which appears to have a pretty lax dress code.
Clearly in a win-at-all-costs match, JT ventured down left of a green on the Greg Norman and Pete Dye-designed course into some unusual conditions to play a shot that simply causes you to just shake your head.
These guys are that good.

The explosion-recoiled wedge landed on the putting surface and rolled out to a few feet. However, according to Thomas’ caption, his crazy up-and-down for par wasn’t enough to win the hole as former Oklahoma State golfer Drew Page apparently made birdie.
“Always fun when (Carstens) comes and visits, I had to rep UNA for him today!” Thomas wrote. “Even had to get a little dirty to try and help our team… it didn’t help. Mice birdie anyways (Page).”
Thomas’ game looks sharp as the nine-time PGA Tour winner will be in action in a few weeks as the PGA Tour kicks off the 2019 calendar in Hawaii at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and then the Sony Open, where JT shot a 59 en route to his victory in 2017.
