When you’re in Hawaii, you’re expected to see the sights and experience all that the islands have to offer. That statement is true even if you’re Jordan Spieth, the fifth-ranked golfer in the world, and you’re visiting the islands on business.
Following an opening-round 5-under par 65 for Spieth, and a 1-under par 69 for Smylie Kaufman, the two friends decided to use their afternoon off to enjoy some fishing and kayaking, which seems fine until you realize that they are both terrible fishermen and not great in a kayak, either.

There were a few fishing poles lost, but in the end, nothing serious transpired as Smylie laid out in his explanatory tweet.
