There were a lot of perks that came with Max Homa’s first PGA Tour victory last week at the Wells Fargo Championship.
Aside from the enormous payday, the two-year exemption on the PGA Tour, a trip to next year’s Masters Tournament and his first start in a major championship this week at the PGA as a professional, Homa got some pretty cool off-the-course benefits as well, which was headlined by him throwing out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium on Friday night.
Homa’s Dodger fandom was solidified on the dais of his post-round press conference at Quail Hollow when his Q&A with the media was interrupted by a Facetime call from Dodger legend Tommy Lasorda.
A man of his word.@MLB Hall of Famer @TommyLasorda called @MaxHoma23 to congratulate him on his victory @WellsFargoGolf just as he said he would when they first met 4 years earlier.#LiveUnderPar pic.twitter.com/Sblaj3DKXM

On Friday, the Burbank, California native was back in his hometown to throw out the first pitch ahead of the Dodgers-Nationals game.
Homa’s pitch wasn’t the best we’ve ever seen, but it was far from the worst.
