After his wife entered into a deferred prosecution agreement on Friday in St. John (FL) County court, PGA Tour pro Lucas Glover disputed the accuracy police report as well as subsequent media reports stemming from Krista Glover’s arrest last May.
“This will be our closure that it’s behind us,” Glover told GolfChannel.com’s Rex Hoggard. “There is no probation. We did a lot of things on our own that we opted to do before the court ordered it. We did it together because we needed it.”
The Daily Mail reported on January 18 — including pictures of the agreement — that Krista Glover would avoid jail time and trial by entering into the deferred prosecution agreement, which entailed a 12-month period in which Krista Glover agreed she “will not commit any criminal offenses” during the effective period, 25 hours of community service and substance abuse and mental health evaluations.

Aside from Krista Glover’s punishment, her husband went on the record to dispute the initial police reports that stated Krista “began a physical altercation with (Lucas Glover) causing a laceration to his arm.”

“I can now say she never hit me,” Lucas Glover told GolfChannel.com. “I don’t know why it was reported that way. We had to stay quiet until the case was over and we felt strongly this would be the result. We had to take the high road and say nothing, which was difficult. There were a lot of things we wanted to straighten out in the report but we couldn’t.”
Hoggard reported that the Glover’s have recently renewed their wedding vows and are putting the entire drama associated with Krista’s arrest behind them.
“It was the closure of everything, of all the mess for us and a symbol of a new beginning,” Glover said. “It was emotional and symbolic.”
Glover has played in five PGA Tour events so far in the 2018-19 season, and he’s played very well. The 2009 U.S. Open winner has finished inside the top-20 in each of his starts this season, most recently carding a T12 finish at The Desert Classic.
