Earlier this summer, in the midst of his confounding golf struggles, Rory McIlroy jokingly suggested that U.S. President Barack Obama should be helping him with his swing.

Nice of @BarackObama to mention me in his speech today in Belfast… But I think he should be helping me with my swing after last week! Haha

As far as we know, McIlroy and Obama have never hooked up on the links. But while the POTUS is dealing with some sort of government funding issue here in the States, the Northern Irishman did meet up with former U.S. president Bill Clinton on the course.

We’re sure McIlory is just being humble here, but hey, if a golf tip from Clinton helps McIlory get his game back on track, he’s gotta run with it. McIlroy will compete at the Korea Open Oct. 17-20 prior to his much-anticipated one-on-one duel with Tiger Woods in The Match at Mission Hills.
