Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley thrilled crowds as the pair to watch at the 2012 Ryder Cup, putting on a show from start to finish. Both are on the roster again in 2014, so one would hope history would repeat itself … and apparently it will.
“I’ve got a good partner that obviously I’m going to play again with in Keegan,” Mickelson said during his press conference Wednesday. “I don’t think I’m letting go of any secrets here.”
With the dream pairing now confirmed by Lefty himself, apparently there are still some questions about Team USA’s chemistry — for whatever reason.
Mickelson was asked about why the Americans aren’t as close as the European team, and he responded with a playful jab at his two of his opponents.
“Well, not only are we able to play together, we also don’t litigate against each other,” Mickelson joked. “And that’s a real plus, I feel, heading into this week.”
Mickelson’s comments were obviously aimed at the recent legal trouble between Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell.
Now it feels like Ryder Cup week. And I can’t wait for matches to begin.
Can we please get Mickelson and Bradley vs. McIlroy and McDowell to happen?
