Phil Mickelson has officially withdrawn from the Grand Slam of Golf, the year-end exhibition tournament celebrating the four major championship winners from the season. Back9Network ambassador – and defending champion — Back9Network Player Ambassador Padraig Harrington will take his place.
Masters Champion Adam Scott, U.S. Open Champ Justin Rose and PGA Champion Jason Dufner will be making their first appearance in the event and will compete against Harrington.
Mickelson reportedly withdrew from the tournament due to “end-of-year scheduling conflicts”, according to one source.
Harrington was extended the invitation to compete again this year since he is the defending champion from the previous season.
