Jordan Spieth Calls Olympic Decision ‘Hardest Decision Of His Life’

Jordan Spieth may have dealt Olympic golf its death blow on Monday afternoon when he announced that he too would be skipping the Games in light of “health risks” and other concerns.

With Spieth dropping out, the top four players in the Official World Golf Ranking — Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Spieth and Rory McIlroy — will all be watching the Games from their couches. Matt Kuchar replaces Spieth on the American Olympic team joining Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Reed.
