J.J. Henry’s April Fools’ Day Miracle

New Back9Network player ambassador J.J. Henry had himself an April Fools’ Day to remember at a charity event at Preston Trail Golf Club in Dallas.

Not only did Henry get the chance to play with former President of the United States George W. Bush, but he won himself a brand new Mercedes-Benz. The only issue is, nobody believed him.

“Pictures don’t lie,” Henry said after Monday’s memorable round. “But nobody believes me because it’s April Fools’ Day. When I called my wife, she didn’t believe, first of all, that I was playing with the President. And, second, she didn’t believe that I won a Mercedes. I’m still not sure she’s buying it. But, man, what an April Fools’ Day.”

Even with the two pictures he tweeted out, apparently everyone thought J.J. was trying to pull a fast one.

There are worse pranks to fall for on April 1. Some of us fall victim to friends who think it’s funny to tell you they need to be bailed out of jail and what not on April Fools’ Day.

However, winning a new Benz while shooting a 66 alongside the former POTUS is on the short list of things we’d all love to have people wondering whether or not their chain is being pulled. It was also a great early birthday present, as Henry celebrates his birthday today.

A resident of Ft. Worth, Texas and graduate of Texas Christian University, Henry has enjoyed a successful career on the PGA Tour with two wins at the 2006 Buick Championship and the 2012 Reno-Tahoe Open. He also was a member of the 2006 United States Ryder Cup team and has earned over $13 million in his career on the PGA Tour.
