Meet Brad Lebo, the man known as the “mini golf master.” A Pennsylvania dentist by day and the winningest mini golfer of all time by — well, by day, as well — Ward has collected more than 100 mini golf titles on numerous tours.
“I started playing professional golf in 1989,” Lebo said. “From mid-March to mid-October I play a very full schedule of professional miniature golf tournaments, generally between 45-50 every year. I’ve won 105 career events on the various putting tours.”
So how does one actually get this good at mini golf? The same way you one might at real golf — prepare, prepare, prepare.
“In the event that the initial putt doesn’t go into the hole, I’ve charted all the potential places the ball could end up,” Lebo said. “I’ll see which brick it is and then read that note and aim there and hopefully be able to trust it. I like the challenge of seeing how well I can do and how low I can go whenever I’m on the course.
“I’ve always liked the slogan, ‘prepare, then don’t care.”‘
No word on whether or not Lebo has ever rolled a perfect 18, but 105 career wins is wildly impressive no matter what sport you’re talking about.
