As you may have guessed it, we’re big fans of travel, lifestyle and golf.
Knowing that, you can understand how stoked we were to learn that there will soon be a plane that can get you pretty much anywhere inside of four hours.
Ladies and gentleman, we introduce to you the Skylon.

This thing has liquid oxygen engines and even has the chops to enter the Earth’s orbit. It’s possible that it could be a reality for space and recreational travelers, alike, in only five years. And, that got us thinking…
If you had the chance to travel to any corner of the globe in just four hours, where would you go? For the sake of this awesome experiment, let’s assume you and your crew had 24 hours to accomplish this awesome mission.
We poked around a bit here at Back9Network HQ to see where our Skylon would be heading. Here’s our tentative agenda:
6 a.m.: We’re packed and ready to roll. Our crew boards the Skylon at Bradley International just outside of our Hartford, Conn. headquarters and we head right to St. Andrews, the home of golf.
10 a.m.: We arrive in St. Andrews and play the world’s fastest round of golf on the Old Course. Now where?
Noon: How about a little lunch in Rome?
4 p.m.: After our quick round at St. Andrews, we figured another quick jaunt at Pebble Beach was in order. Hey, it’s our day, remember?
6 p.m.: We’ve always wanted to try surfing and the waves on the Connecticut River aren’t the best. Man, Maui is worth the trip.
10 p.m.: We don’t know about you but we’re pretty thirsty. I could go for a pint. Or a stein. Or a few of them. Maybe next time, we’ll plan this trip to Munich for Oktoberfest…
Midnight: Now, we’re ready to party. Who’s up for a trip to Ibiza? We’ve heard good things about its clubs.
6 a.m.: We’ve landed back in the states. But in New York City. We don’t know about you but after that long (and very awesome) day, we could use a good ole-fashion New York bagel and a rather large cup of coffee.
