The Fox Sports golf coverage will look a little different in 2019 and going forward as Holly Sonders will no longer be a part of the broadcast.
“I’m incredibly proud to have been a part of Fox Sports’ USGA coverage,” Sonders told Golfweek.com. “The entire golf team has become like family and I learned a lot working alongside them. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Fox Sports as I transition into a studio role and am excited about the opportunities ahead of me.”

Sonders joined Fox Sports in 2014 after the network had recently acquired the USGA Championships. Sonders was in contract negotiations with Golf Channel at the time, but Fox made Sonders their second signing after locking down Greg Norman. Norman, of course, only lasted one season with the network.
Get To Know Fox Sports’ Holly Sonders
Sonders was brought on to be a studio host as well as act as a sideline reporter for Fox’s NFL football slate. In a statement, Fox confirmed that Sonders will continue to work for the network as a host for select shows as well as college football broadcasts.
“Holly is a valued member of the Fox Sports family and we’re thrilled to continue working with her,” the statement said.
The former Golf Channel host won’t be the only member of the Fox golf broadcast crew who will be missing going forward, either. Golfweek.com also reported that Shane O’Donoghue will no longer be a member of the team as well. His contract was reportedly unrenewed.
