Small Town Golf Course Vandalized

Vandals broke into Summit Spring Golf Course in Poland, Maine over the weekend and went on a joyride costing the club an estimated $10,000 in damages.

WGME Portland had the details:

The manager of Summit Spring Golf Course says Monday morning they found a gate toppled over, and many of the carts were damaged.
One doesn’t have a top on it anymore; some have flat tires and missing bumpers. At least one was stolen.

The manager, Mary Rich, says she believes someone or a group of people came on the course around midnight and went on a joy ride in the golf carts.

She believes it was around midnight because the sprinklers were damaged, and grass around the 8th hole was badly damaged.

The vandals also stole lumber, trash cans, compressors and gas cans from the property. All of this is estimated at about $10,000 in damages.

In a town with a population of roughly 5,000 people, catching these fools shouldn’t be too difficult.
