The Ryder Cup has a habit of making players and fans famous. Whether it be Seve Ballesteros or Cigar Guy from the 2010 matches at Celtic Manor, the number of eyeballs that tune in to the biennial event makes the broadcast ripe for viral fame.
The runaway hero — non-playing edition — of the 2018 matches was unquestionably a 33-year-old man who posted up behind the 16th tee with a bottle of wine and took pictures of said bottle with some of the best golfers in the world.

RyderCup.com tracked down the viral sensation and got to know him a little better.
“I like golf, red wine and girls as well,” Nikolas Simon said. “Golf? (I’m) not so good, I’m better at wine.”
Simon arrived on the 16th tee five hours before the players would eventually come through with a bottle of Mouton Cadet Reserve, the official wine of the Ryder Cup.
Wine Guy may not be remembered as readily as Tommy Fleetwood or Francesco Molinari, but the Bourdeaux native will live in infamy on the internet.
This guy knows how to have a good time on the golf course. The full bottle of wine is a tad aggressive, but who am I to judge. #RyderCup2018 pic.twitter.com/OenfVD3bSI
