More Than Just A Putting Green: 3 Incredible Golf Homes For Sale

If you’ve earned or inherited or maybe stolen enough money to install a real putting green in your backyard, well done. Maybe you don’t have Dave Pelz’s backyard, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a nice home.

With all due respect, though, your place has nothing on this property for sale in the country’s most renowned wine region. We came across this gem, called Napa’s Vineyard Knolls, when perusing through Forbes’ list of America’s Most Extreme Backyard Golf Courses. And by our estimation, this place takes the cake:

The house is nice, and so is the clubhouse, but let’s talk about this nine-hole golf course real quick. It’s sanctioned by the Northern California Golf Association. It’s a USGA member course. And a Dave Pelz Golf School teaching course. Seven par-3 holes. Two par 4s. Two bunkers on every hole. Two lakes. Two creeks. One waterfall. Incredible.

And as for the 7,500-square-foot main residence, that’s got four bedroom suites, an office, a studio and a movie room with seating for 10. Then there’s the clubhouse: 6,400 square feet, an old-style pub, banquet room and locker room. And so much more that would be cumbersome to list here.

The price? Only $17.5 million.

OK, so maybe that’s a bit much. Or maybe you prefer the east coast. Well, there’s another property on the market that comes with a nine-hole golf course. Incredibly, this one in Stanfordville, N.Y. (two hours north of New York City) is listed for less than seven figures – $965,000.

Now, the course looks like it could use a trim, but it’s still better than a putting green. And this view doesn’t suck:

As for the house, it’s 2,800 square feet, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a patio next to a waterfall and pond, and a stunning view of the Catskill Mountains.

Or maybe you don’t need a golf course, because you’d rather play one you don’t also have to maintain. Or maybe you want more house and less golf. If that’s you, there’s a place you’ll love in Las Vegas.

The Legendary Primm Ranch boasts 10 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a 20-car showroom, a spa, a bar, a library, and a driving range. So you can fine-tune your swing before showing up at the course and taking skins off your buddies:

The property covers 21,000 square feet and includes five buildings. Again, there are way too many features to list here, but a few more highlights: an elevator, a 5000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, a casino game room, and a personal gym with steam sauna. Oh yeah, and there’s an equestrian center with eight stalls. And an indoor underground shooting range which can double as a recording studio or bowling alley, all accessible through an underground tunnel. OK, we’re done.

The price: $16,000,000.
