Nantz Narrates Own Shot on Backyard Par-3

Jim Nantz is living his best life.

The longtime CBS golf, football and basketball broadcaster has a home game this week on the PGA Tour as the best players in the world and a laundry list of celebrity hackers tee it up around the Monterey Peninsula for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Nantz lives just off of the Pebble Beach property, close enough that he can see the links from his backyard, including the iconic par-3 7th hole, of which he has a mini replica built to scale in his backyard. On Thursday, Nantz appeared on The Dan Patrick Show and afterwards hosted Patrick and his producers, affectionately known a the Danettes, to his home for brunch and some golf.

The highlight of the morning came during a closest to the pin content Nantz put on between himself, Patrick and the Danettes. With the famous Masters music being played in the background, Nantz took to his normal hushed tone and narrated his own shot.

Nantz, of course, won the mini-tournament. And he continues to be winning at life as he can step out into his backyard and play one of the best par-3s in the world whenever he gets the itch.

Here is Nantz’s full interview from the DP Show.
