Would you recognize Hunter Mahan, the 31st-ranked golfer in the world, if you walked past him on the street? He might be wearing a mesh snapback hat backwards and an untucked plaid button-down. Not exactly what you’d expect from a millionaire golfer, huh? Which is why we love it.
SB Nation recently followed around the new father as he visited the Under Armour headquarters in Baltimore, Md., where he got in a workout and spoke with some staffers about his look for the upcoming season. The day ended after hopping on a plane for Boston, where Mahan took in a World Series game at Fenway Park.
Mahan may look like your normal passerby, and say he doesn’t think he’s all that special because he plays golf for a living, but we can say this is a day we’ve never enjoyed.
