It was bound to happen, right? A video goes viral on the Internet, and sooner than later, goofy pro athletes do their best reenactment (remember the Harlem Shake?).
The massive hit of the fall has been “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)” by Ylvis, a pair of comic brothers from Norway. As of this posting, the official music video has nearly 178 million views on YouTube. Just try not to laugh; it’s so stupid it’s funny:
This week, prior to the 2013-14 NBA season tipping off, the Dallas Mavericks released their mimicking video, “What The Mavs Say?”
Is it just us, or does Dirk Nowitzki not look comfortable at all?
Anyway, this has Golf Boys written all over it. The four golfers – Ben Crane, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan – are entering a slow season for pro tournaments, so it seems the perfect time to get back in the studio and produce their version of “The Fox.” They’ve already got quite the following, as the Golf Boys received more than 10 million views for their two hits: “Oh Oh Oh” and “2.Oh.”
We’ll be waiting.
