There is never a good time to take a hitting mat outside and onto the street to get some practice in, especially if you live anywhere other than a deserted ghost town. What makes this move even more head-scratching is that this golfer clearly stinks.
Unless you’re David Simms with a 7-iron, there is no potential upside to this exercise. With cars and houses lined up down the street for the eye to see, the only imaginable explanation is that this guy expected to hit or damage someone’s property who lives a few hundred yards away, not shatter his neighbor’s rear windshield.
That will be an awkward conversation when they both head out to the front lawn to grab their morning papers.
