Not The Blooper You Would Expect

Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.

Golfers are conditioned to see a fellow hacker standing on a railroad tie near a water hazard and expect the splash-tastic folly to follow. 99 times out of 100, that’s probably going to be the case, but for our friend in the video above, there were other obstacles to overcome aside from simply keeping his balance.

Not only did his errant shot leave him little-to-no standing room between himself and the hazard, a tree appears to have been positioned in the absolute worst spot to pull of he shot.

With a narrow stance and a hooded club face, the golfer was able to keep his balance and keep his balance; the only problem was that tree sending his well-struck shot right back into his face and knocking the hat from his head.

Kudos to him for getting smacked in the face and still staying dry.
