Dustin Johnson is still looking for the first major of his career, but he scored a major victory in life Sunday when he popped the question to Paulina Gretzky. She said yes.

The world’s 22nd-ranked golfer has been dating the world’s No. 1-ranked hockey daughter since last summer, and the relationship first became public about the time he won the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in January. That victory marked the seventh of Johnson’s young career, but he hasn’t been able to land another one since.
The 29-year-old came close last month, tying for second at the RBC Canadian Open, and he shot up the board last weekend at the PGA Championship when he fired a 5-under 65 on Saturday. Johnson finished in a tie for eighth after a 69 on Sunday, giving him his best result at a major this year. Maybe he was inspired by finally settling on a ring for his beau?
Victorious at that PGA Championship was Jason Dufner, the everyman who introduced to the world his beautiful wife, Amanda, with a little tap on her rear-end. She became quite popular the next few days on social media, especially Instagram, where swimsuit shots from a recent Dufner beach vacation existed.
Well, she’s light years behind Paulina when it comes to Instagram. Even if it weren’t for her famous father and boyfriend/fiancé, she’d still have quite the following for doing nothing but posting photos of herself (and sometimes Johnson).
So can you imagine if Johnson ever wins a major? He’d, of course, add to the $19.5 million and counting that he’s already won. But if sports fans didn’t already know who Paulina Gretzky was, they’d surely race to Google after seeing her kissing the trophy with her husband.
Anyway, congrats to the Johnson and Gretzky families. Upon marriage, the next question the couple will inevitably get is, “When are you going to have kids?” With good-looking parents such as Dustin and Paulina, the baby’s bound to be a looker as well.
