By now you’ve probably read or seen news of the hovercraft golf cart that PGA Tour star Bubba Watson drove around in a recent PR stunt. In the viral video, the former Masters champion could be seen driving over water and through bunkers with the greatest of ease.
All while sober. Allegedly.
Now, thanks to the good folks at Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio, golfers like you and me can also enjoy the greatest form of golf transportation since saddling up a goat!
The course, which is located on an old horse farm, will be the first course in the United States to feature two Neoteric Golf hovercrafts on July 27. According to Golfweek, Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez and the LPGA’s Paige Mackenzie will be on site to welcome the new hovercrafts… for some reason.
This is all either a wonderful or completely terrible idea by the golf club, especially if they will continue to allow alcohol sales on the premises. I have no doubt that some weekend hacker will try to duplicate Bubba’s antics and drive the craft into a lake. I’m actually looking forward to it.
