Orlando’s Best Bars

As the PGA Tour pros spend the week in Orlando for the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, I am again reminded of how awful the weather is where I live and how awesome it is in Florida.

Tiger is looking to defend his crown at the King’s tourney and avoid peril at Bay Hill. If he’s not successful, he’ll be send packing for the weekend. Either way, let’s take a look at some of the best watering holes Orlando has to offer because there’s nothing better than a couple cold ones after a long day in beautiful 80-degree weather.

Twenty Three – 23 W. Church Street, Orlando, FL

If you’re into some live music, specialty cocktails and a nice cigar, then 23 is the spot. With $5 cocktails until midnight and vintage wines accompanied by cigar suggestions to boot, this place is ultimate relaxation. Huge leather couches and chairs offer some of the finest nightlife in all of Orlando.

The Abbey – 117 N. Woodland Blvd, DeLand, FL

The Abbey is more of a concert venue than a bar. With daily live music and theatrical events ranging from local plays to comedy acts, the atmosphere at The Abbey is always electric. If you’re in town, check out their schedule of events and enjoy some live entertainment while sipping on your favorite beverage.

Ain’t Misbehavin’ Sports and Tiki Bar – 1550 State Road 436, Winter Park, FL

If you’re going to Florida to watch golf then you’re obviously a sports fan of some sort. And, if you’re in Florida, then you want to enjoy the warm weather. Well, this is the perfect place for both. A hybrid sports bar tiki bar combo, Ain’t Misbehavin’ is all energy, all the time. The locals pile in for the cheap booze, loud music and friendly service.

The Alley – 114 S. Park Ave, Sanford, FL

The self-proclaimed “Best Blues Bar in Florida” certainly has the reputation to back the claim. Like most blues spots, The Alley looks like a dive, but people keep coming back for the atmosphere. It doesn’t try to be something it’s not. If you like music and beer, then The Alley is place for you. Just relax, enjoy the music and drink some cheap beer with the locals. Cheers!
