100-Hole Golf Marathon For Charity

Think you’re tired after 18 holes? Try 100 holes of golf in one day. Sure it sounds like a lot, but it’s a different story when you are doing it for a good cause.

Hidden Valley Country Club in Salem, Va. will host the golf marathon benefitting the Folds of Honor foundation next week.

WDBJ 7 has the story:

The marathon golf event will take place at Hidden Valley Country Club on Monday, September 5, beginning at 6:30 a.m. It’s all to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation.

The foundation was started by PGA member Dan Rooney to provide scholarship money for families of fallen or wounded soldiers.

Last year, Mike and Jimmy were able to raise $10,000. On Monday, the golf pros will be giving updates throughout the day on their Twitter page. You can follow @HVCC_Golf to follow their progress.

It’s events like these that should make national headlines.
