Riviera Country Club plays host to this week’s PGA Tour event, the Genisis Open (formally known as the Northern Trust, and before that, the Los Angeles Open.) For years due to its proximity to Hollywood, it’s provided a perfect outlet for celebrities (actors, writers, comedians, producers, etc.) from past and present to come by between takes and blow off a little steam by knocking that little white ball around.

Regardless of your handicap, if you were in the biz, you were welcome. Here are 10 celebrities who at some point, have called Riviera home.

Larry David

 

Comedian, writer, actor, playwright, and television producer Larry David calls Riviera Country Club home. The Seinfeld co-creator is an avid golf nut who plays to about an “11” and even incorporated the game into a few episodes as well as in his other show Curb Your Enthusiasm. In fact, the popular “Black Swan” episode of Curb during season seven is modeled after the owner of the club.
