Tiger Woods entered the final round of the 2009 PGA Championship with a two-stroke lead, and had previously won all 14 of the majors he had led after 54 holes. But when he shot a 3-over-par 75, it opened the door for others.

Boldly stepping through that door was South Korea’s Y.E. Yang, who carded a 2-under 70 and beat Woods by three strokes. The victory marked Yang’s second of the year and first major, and was also the first major ever for an Asian man.
