ParaLong Drive Champion Jared Brentz joins The Turn to discuss his journey in becoming a world-class athlete despite becoming an amputee at a young age.
The brother of Boston Red Sox prospect Bryce Brentz, Jared’s first love was baseball but following the surgery to amputate both of his legs from the knee down, became enamored with the game of golf.
“There really was nothing else to do,” Brentz said. “I couldn’t play baseball and I wasn’t going to sit around and do nothing. So, I just picked up the game and luckily for me, I could always drive the golf ball.”
