Occasionally, you’ll find yourself around the green where you’ll need a very soft and/or high shot. There are a lot of ways to do this, but I’m reminded of something my mother used to tell me: “Put it back where you found it.”
It’s a technique I see a lot of good players use, and it’s a lot of fun. It requires a change in your grip. Put your trail hand more on top of the club, and the trick is to take the club back until your trail hand feels normal. Once you’re there, leave it and swing through.
