While there is no officially-sanctioned USGA rule about where the bunker rake should go after you’re done using it, they do have a recommendation that you place it just outside the bunker parallel with the line of play.
However, this suggestion can fly in the face of what you’re seeing at the course you’re playing. While placing the rake outside and along the line of play is a good baseline rule to follow, take stock of the course you’re playing, where other rakes are at in conjunction with their bunkers because different courses may have different preferences.
