Billy Hurley III broke through for the first time on the PGA Tour to win the Quicken Loans National on Sunday. Hurley III outlasted the likes of Vijay Singh and Ernie Els by shooting rounds of 66-65-67-69 to win by three strokes.

Hurley III is by no means a long hitter, so his accuracy must be on point every week if he wants to contend. At Congressional, to say his irons were dialed in would be an understatement. The Naval Academy graduate led the field in strokes gained: approach to the green, picking up more than 10 shots on the rest of the field.
