Puma Golf Releases Virtual Dressing Room

As more golf companies are learning ways to increase connectivity with customers, an bevy of smartphone applications has been developed by many leading brands. Puma Golf is the newest group to jump on the “app wagon” with their new virtual dressing room.

Currently available through the Apple App Store and soon to be offered for Android phones, the Puma Stylecaddie application allows users to “try on” different pieces of Puma apparel on a virtual likeness of themselves. Customers will be able to mix and match new apparel and equipment items in real time to find the best color and style combinations to match their preference.

The application also features a virtual look book that showcases combinations by tour players like Rickie Fowler, Lexi Thompson and Blair O’Neal. Once they are complete with choosing their preferred outfit combination, users can also upload their creations to Facebook or Twitter for all of their friends to comment. Or make fun of them, depending on their friends.

Tom Mathe, Puma’s Global Marketing Manager, described how user-friendly the Stylecaddie app can be.

“Puma Stylecaddie is a huge step forward in providing consumers an accessible and engaging way to check out our gear,” Manthe said. “This app offers both consumers and retailers a fresh way to interact with our brand and the product we offer. You can easily mix colors, patterns and silhouettes to create endless 360° head-to-toe looks.”

The Puma Stylecaddie app is currently free for download.
