On Thursday, Nike Golf introduced their new Covert 2.0 golf club series that includes drivers, irons, fairway woods hybrids and wedges. Oh my.

The VRS Covert 2.0 driver is the headliner piece in the series, featuring a redesigned cavity with Fly-Brace technology; a design that promises increased distance and club stability in comparison to last year’s model. Nike Golf’s director of Engineering, Nate Radcliffe, further described the new features found in the VRS Covert 2.0 driver.
“The new VRS Covert 2.0 driver features a redesigned cavity with Fly-Brace technology that ties the sole to the crown,” Radcliffe said in a press release. “By stiffening the rear portion of the club, more energy is transferred to the face at impact. The end result is even greater ball speed and up to six yards of distance gain over last year’s model.
“It’s similar to an automotive frame design. Fly-Brace technology reinforces the rearward portion of the clubhead to focus impact stress, flexing and subsequent energy transfer to the point of impact.”
The new VRS Covert 2.0 fairway woods and hybrids were also built with distance in mind. Like the driver, the new fairway woods are adjustable (which is somewhat unique in a fairway metal) while the hybrids are more of your standard fare. The technology found in both club designs is anything but typical, however, and promises to help you get the ball to the green from unbelievable distances.
Finally, the new VRS Covert Forged Irons and VR X3X Toe Sweep wedges round out the new line while offering golfers longer, straighter shots. Each iron and wedge has been painstakingly designed with grooves that promote higher launch angles and maximum spin.
