If you love The Masters as much as I do, then you probably wear green the entire month of April and eat pimento cheese sandwiches until you puke. Cobra Golf gave me the option to go another route this year by releasing a limited edition green AMP Cell driver.
Beginning on March 15, approximately 1,800 limited edition drivers will be available at select golf retailers worldwide. Each will still feature Cobra’s patented MyFly, SmartPad and E9 Face Technology that the Advanced Material Placement (AMP) drivers boast. Each driver will be marked with a number from “1” to “1,800” on its sole for authenticity purposes.
The MyFly Technology offers players a simple adjustability feature on the AMP Cell driver to help them get the ball airborne. Each driver features adjustable lofts ranging from 8.5-11.5 degrees, including settings for draw-biased ball flight. Coupled with the SmartPad feature – which squares the clubface to your golf ball regardless of loft setting – this technology should help you hit more fairways this season.
The E9 Face Technology promotes an elliptical clubhead design that helps keep your teeshots in play due to incredible forgiveness on off-center hits. Weight is distributed throughout the perimeter of the clubhead to increase COG and Moment of Inertia — again, helping you to get the ball airborne.
The limited edition drivers will retail for $399.99 and will be available in regular, stiff or senior shaft flexes.
