Amateur and professional golfers alike are bringing back the retro headcover craze to their golf bags. They’re a way to express your individuality in a game that often conforms to the masses.
Iliac Golf can help you show your true colors.
I came across Iliac Golf via a suggestion from a friend of mine who collects golf headcovers. After visiting their website, I immediately knew I had to get a closer look at their product line. I’m a huge fan of the retro-golf fad that’s been growing in popularity and was pleased to see what Iliac Golf offerings to weirdos like me. Well, and Hunter Mahan, who sports Iliac on his clubs, among other top pros.
Make no mistake about it: these headcovers are high-quality handmade works of art. Made from high-grade leather, each headcover features a unique vintage look and feel that will have you reminiscing of your grandfather’s clubs.
The driver cover I received fit easily over my TaylorMade R1 driver and maintained a snug fit around the club’s shaft. As is seen in other handmade covers of their ilk, Iliac’s craftsmanship cleverly hides the elastic belt on the inside sleeve of the cover as to prevent a “bunched” or “wrinkled” look on its exterior. The same can be said for the impressive putter cover I tested, which fit perfectly over my blade-style flatstick. Mallet putter covers are also available.
Iliac Golf also offers a number of unique products, including a headcover for your alignment sticks (if you own them). While maybe not needed for the weekend hacker, it is still nice to see the option added to an already impressive product line.
