Callaway Unveils New HEX Chrome+ Ball

Quickly becoming a leader in the golf ball market, Callaway Golf has introduced its new HEX Chrome+ tour ball for the 2013 season.

The HEX Chrome+ is designed to deliver high ball speeds off any club for maximum distance at mid- to high-clubhead speeds. That means amateur players will experience more yards on almost every shot on the course. The secret to this distance is the ball’s dual mantle design, which minimizes spin off the tee without compromising feel and control around the greens.

Dave Bartels, Senior Director at Callaway’s Research & Development division, explained the innovation that went into the Chrome+ design.

“HEX Chrome+ is hands down the fastest Tour Ball we’ve ever designed at Callaway,” Bartels said. “This new four-piece construction has a single-piece core and dual-mantle system that were designed in unison to create more ball speed with the longer clubs without generating excessive spin, leading to longer distance.

“However, what makes the distance of this ball special is that it achieves that distance and features a soft DuraSpin cover. This urethane cover material not only has great durability, but [it] provides exceptional ‘Tour-level’ control around the green that the best players in the world demand in a premium ball.”

Callaway’s HEX Chrome+ will retail for $35.99 per dozen.
