Nancy Lopez Helps Shine Spotlight On Max A. Mandel Golf Course

Sitting on 270 acres abutting the Rio Grande, the Max A. Mandel Golf Course in Laredo, Texas, didn’t have to work hard to create picturesque vistas. But course officials did work hard in creating a public course and accompanying clubhouse that exceeded the standards of a municipal golf course. After four years, mission accomplished.

Hall of Fame golf legend Nancy Lopez was on hand in Laredo as the club opened its doors to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The course, designed by world-renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., began taking tee times last fall. But now, the completed clubhouse is open and ready for business as well.
